Will egg donation affect my future fertility?

No, egg donation does not affect your future fertility. Women are born with millions of eggs, and only a small fraction are ever used. The medications simply rescue eggs that would naturally be lost during that cycle.

Is the egg retrieval procedure painful?

The egg retrieval is performed under conscious sedation, so you won't feel any pain during the procedure. Most donors experience only mild cramping afterward, similar to menstrual cramps.

How many times can I donate eggs?

Will I meet the intended parents?

What if I need to travel for appointments?

We work with donors from across the country and can coordinate care with clinics near you for monitoring appointments. Travel expenses are covered when necessary.

Are there any long-term risks?

Egg donation has been practiced safely for over 30 years. Short-term side effects are minimal, and there are no known long-term health risks associated with egg donation.

What happens to my eggs after donation?

Your eggs are fertilized with sperm to create embryos, which are then transferred to the intended mother or surrogate. Any unused embryos may be frozen for future use by the intended parents.

Can I donate if I've had my tubes tied?

Yes, having your tubes tied does not disqualify you from egg donation since the eggs are retrieved directly from your ovaries through a minor procedure.
